I have the opportunity to buy a 91 TSi with AWD(not running). With: a good transmission, a good engine block, and a nice body for $400; good idea or no? Would I be able to swap the transmission and the AWD to my FWD 91 TSi? How much work/parts would that take? And what would I gain/lose from converting to AWD? Thank you for your help in advance :thumb:

Damn I wish I could find a 2G AWD for that price w/ everything I needed to convert. That would be sexy.

as a point of reference the core return for a 6 bolt is $500 around the chicagoland area.... so if it is a good engine you are 100 dollars ahead (unless you transfer the title, then $100 behindLOL
