I normally don't like coming on to a forum and immediatly asking questions, but i need some quick knowledge.

I own a 1992 Plymouth Laser N/T. Last week my automatic tranny went out so i bought all the parts i needed for a M/T swap for a staggering $150. Anyway i am in the midst of the swap mainly going of the article that floats around DSM forums about the 1G swap.

Except a few things are different for my car. I was just wondering where the shift cables pass through the firewall at. I see a few locations that would work, but the shifter/shift cables that i have have a oval bracket that apparently mounts onto the firewall.

Does anyone know the proper location for that bracket/grommet?

Thanks for the response, but that just happens to be the article that i was going off of.

It says remove the automatic computer that is on the firewall, there are two devices that resemble the computer. None of which i would consider being on the firewall.

So i was just wondering what path the shift cables take from the shifter to the tranny. I'm sure that they don't run under the car like the automatic one. I just can't seem to find where the specific spot is that the cables enter the engine compartment through the firewall.

I just need a general idea of where to look, Is it directly behind the radio setup?
