I am about ready to install my 2.3 but I am short one thing; a clutch. I was going to go with an ACT 2600 but there is no way it will hold the power most people say. Here is a breakdown of the setup: Built 2.3, FHP mani, PT67 full T4, 272s, Race head, Built trans, Linkv2(soon to be EMS). We are looking for about 700whp on race gas no spray. Here are the options I have considered:
ACT 2900 with street disk, Spec Stg 4, or RPS Max. Let me know your input or if you have any other suggestions. Thanks for the help.

I don't think an organic disk will hold that kind of torque. Did you consider a six puck sprung design??
I assume the vehicle will be street driven?
If you spend that much money on power don't let it slip away at the disk. You don't even need a really heavy pressure plate, just get a really grabby clutch disk.
Yeah, I know it will chatter, but at least your leg won't be sore from the workout, nor will it wear down your pedal assembly, and there is less of a chance it will break your clutch fork.
A 6 puck design will engage faster, wear out the pressure plate and flywheel surface a little faster, but it will hold a lot more torque than any organic disk.
My flywheel has a replaceble surface and light pressure plates don't cost that much.

Just my two cents.... :thumb:

Anyone?

I'm running a fully built stock stroke motor with a .58 A/R PT67 Anti-Surge, HKS 272's, Custom sheetmetal intake, and an AEM. I got a brand new RPS carbon carbon for a very good deal (just over 2 grand) so I jumped all over that, and it works beautifully for me. if you can afford to pick one up, the carbon carbon rocks.
