my parents gave me a 95' talon tsi like about a month back and a week after i bought it the trany started giving probs. it started downshifting on its own, when ide get to a red light it wouden shift all the way down so it stalled. theres days that i have to bunch the gas to the groung to get it out of first.

If someone could help me with this like the steps i need to take o fix it or what have you i would really be thank full.

Sounds like you have a bad tranny pump. If it does not slip then the gears and clutches seem fine. I had some of the symptoms you are talking about and it sounds like the tranny pump needs replacement.

thanks invadergst

last night i went out with my girl and when i got back to her house i put my car in park we said out good byes i got back in put it in drive and nothing 1st nothin 2nd nothin reverse and still nothing is this what you ment by slip?

No that is most likely your tranny pump. When the tranny slips is when you are driving lets say you first start going and then your car shakes or does some crazy stuff going into 2nd or 3rd. That is when you tranny is slipping. Which would mean your gears or clutches are worn out and you need a tranny rebuild. From what you are descibing it seems to be a tranny pump issue. As that is what gets your tranny going by priming oil into the tranny.
