I was wondering if anyone could tell me how difficult it would be to swap out a auto trans for a manual. If so can you give me some pointers.

Well from my experiance with my 240 its not very difficult but can become expensive depending on how u do it (used or brand new), You'll need an ecu from a manual (not sure if that holds true with DSM's) clutch pedal (brake pedal also if u want more room) 5 speed crossmember, 5 speed driveshaft, manual flywheel with bolts, manual trans to engine bolts, clutch with clutch bolts, pilot bushing, driven disc, pressure plate, clutch lines, clutch master cylinder, clutch slave cylinder, lower shift booth with plate, and upper shift boot. You'll also have to drill the holes for the new pedal and so on. Now as I said thats what is needed for doing it to a s14 240sx wether or not everything I listed is needed for a DSM I do not know but it should give you some type of idea on whats involved. Oh and I forgot 1 thing, a manual trans! LOL You should be able to do a search and come up with some good info. With the 240 a couple of things are a lil "rigged" if u ask me so I'd prefer to just simply get a 5 speed. Hope this helps!
