ok, I got a few questions. Anyone that has delt with Rebuilt\new Trans and installing them. I got a problem.

The input shaft of the trans I cant turn by hand. Is that normal?????

also, Should I fill it with some oil, and get some locking Plyers and Rag ( so not to damage the input shaft ) and spin the bi***.


Cause I got the thing up there, and the Mounting Dowles and holes match up, but It just wont go in the hole for the clutch!!!! so Im guessing beacuse the Shaft is tight its not Wiggiling\shifting\turning into place?????

Yes, you can turn the input shaft with no oil in it.....A dumbass dealership which I won't name forgot to fill my tranny once after a tranny swap, so you can run it for a while w/o oil....not recommended. So yes, turn the shaft a bit to get it to seat, it's rounded so you shouldn't have that much of a problem....Just start torquing down the bolts and it'll line up, then when you get the t-case on it'll finally lock flush. one more thing, check the gap on the top, bottom, front and back and make sure they're even, that could be an issue too.

It's easier to have someone rotate the engine clockwise as you try to fit it up. DON'T ROTATE IT COUNTERCLOCKWISE AS YOU RUN THE RISK OF MAKING YOUR TIMING SKIP.

I got it up there, now I gotta replace the tranny bolts. I have a baggy full, I cant remember were they go. I found the Diagram for the bolt sizes and stuff. but I dont know what they mean. Im searchin right now were I can get all replacment bolts. for my Starter, And Trans bolts.
