Synthetic A/T Fluid

Hey guys, I was wondering if you get the same benefits from synthetic auto tranny fluid as you do from synthetic oil. Basically is it worth $6-$7 a quart? Thanks

Hm.

The biggest payoff's heat tolerance. The rest of the brew- friction properties, lubrication quality, general durability -is fairly much sorted-out in modern ATFs. There are literally millions of A/T cars who've gone well over 100,000 miles without ever having had the trans fluid touched.

However, it's not a lot of money, even if you change the fluid every year.

You may want to swap it out twice in the first six months, just to get more of the non-synthetic fluid out of the system.

I'm not much of a synthetics customer, but I do believe most of the hype... sorry, features about them.
