Not sure if you guys know any better, or anything about Mirages but let's just say the have a repuation for being slow (like 0-60 in 10-11 seconds slow)

Well I'd post this at mirage forums but we can't post times unless we have proof or if it was on the street. Well I know this is exactly accurate but I was listening to music at a stop sign waited for 1:30 second revved and launched, got to 60 and it JUST turn to 1:38. Well it's accurate enought for me to say 0-60 in ABOUT 8.1. Stock liosted for the mirage LS coupe is 8.7. not to mention I have the begining mods as in K&N filter and performence muffler (flowmaster) and it was about 35 degrees outside. Well just thought I'd mention this because I can't on the other forums, and wasn't sure if any of you would be impressed for only having 115 hp. haha.

Well now make fun of me, congradulate me, whatever, haha.

If you only have 115hp 0-60 should be in the 9s ...not 8.1 ...

It was really cold out, whcih I think had a great effect, plus the car only weight 2250 lbs. I did get 8.1 according to the CD player so I think the is room for some error there. I know that it's listed as 8.7 on a website. I used to always get around 9.5 for my 1.5 coupe (92 hp), So I thing I probably really did get just under 9 seconds in the 8.5-9.0 region.....

I can't laugh. I use to have one too :(, but it was 7 1/2 years ago :). I did "Step up" quite a bit however. ;)

I had a 118hp Ford Probe .... I feel your pain ... just wondering why somebody would want to know what the 0-60 time for a 92hp car is ...Yeah a Turbo DSM is quite a step up....:thumb:

yeah yeah yeah, 92 horsepower, 93 ft-lbs of torque, but the damn the car is so light. I was able to hang with with NA DSM's in that, belive it or not. I think in the 113 mirage, I'd beat a NA DSM, but I havn't tried yet. Yeah, mirages are slow, but you'd be suprised, for all the power they have. I know that an NA DSM in 1/4 mile in 17.1, around there and a 113 hp mirage is 1/4 in about 16.8. Just using that as an examlpe saying that it's about power to weight ratio's, not all about hp.

The turbo kit avalible for them puts out 167 whp (mind you no internals upgrades) at 8-10 psi, and when you add a turbo-back exhuast system, and they have been to run high 13's low 14's with just that, so just remember it's not ALL about hp and torque, hahaha.
