ok here it is some guy just swapped a h22 in his honduhhh prelude its the old body style like a 92 or 93 . and he says its so fast and wants to race. my gsx has few mods but they are functional. i have a kn,hacked air can, egr block off, took stock exhaust off and removed the stuff from inside the cat and cut open the top of my muffler removed all theh restrictions out of that and welded it back up . i know its not a true catback but it made a difference, 5/32 vacumn hoses, and ported throttle body elbow, turbo outlet elbow, and the pipe under the 1g bov has been ported also. what you think my chances are.

I would say your chances are very good, if your MOD LIST is accurate & you're a good driver and don't miss a shift... Unless you have and auto then shifting isn't a problem.

I'm assuming his car isn't the v-tec model which is around 2800#'s and should be putting out about 185whp with very basic mods(with swap). He should be able to run a mid 14 with basic mods. Make sure you race him from a dead stop because the gearing with that swap is VERY good and he may be able to hang with you on a freeway pull.

If i were you i'd do at least the bcs mod. You should be able to take him; especially if he doesn't have much drag racing experience in a fwd!

I lost to an h22-powered 95 Civic with some mods (h/e/i, maybe some more, not sure) when I had a 1g bov and my filter from a 50 or so highway roll. They're not push-overs when you're pretty much stock.

Yeah h-22 has a vtec and supposably makes something like 190hp I can't quite remember. (my ricer days are well over, LOL) But your car should pull on him. Just make sure it's from standing because that's the weak point of Rice Mobiles. You got a GSX launch good. Oh yeah if your car is an automatic due to 13b it might be a close call!!!

nah i got a 5 speed with some weight reduction in it also. and i put a screen behind my vent for the intercooler in the wheelwell and removed my foglight and cleaned out my ic yesterday and i also have the bcs mod done so i think it should be cake

eh......you're talking about the 92-96 style preludes right?
anyways my friends 94 prelude vtec (h22a motor) runs high 14's with just intake and free mods.
So I guess this race will be all on the driver.......unless he's squeezing.......

another honduh bites the dust hard!!!!! line up rev to 4800 i say go slip clutch and drop the hammer byebye honda. easy 3 lengths in first about 6 in second and after that kept right on going hehehehe he was so pissed i hate hondas dont these guys like torque???

hell yea:thumb: !!! Now I can keep my left leg, thanks man. Bad ass kill!!! Can't #### with DSMs

Sweet...ya, one of the guys in the local ricer club here (the guy with the fastest car) wanted to race me...and it was a H22 97 Accord...I smoked him twice...once I launched good, once I launched bad...both times I hit fuel cut like 3-4 times durring the race...the car wasn't tuned...wasn't running good...it was funny.

Now he thinks he can take me again cause his car wasn't running right either...it wasn't tuned  copy cat...LOL...Now he will be totaly smoked.

Good kill.

Good kill!
Most of the ricers can't drive well enough to maximize the potential an h22a has. They had 190 hp in 93-94, then 195, then 200 in 99 up.
Personaly, I have a 92 Accord sitting in my back yard with a seized engine. Next year I'm going to put it back on the road to drive, keep some milage off the GSX. But, gonna put the JDM Prelude Type-s engine in it. has 220 hp from facotory, plus gonna have intake exhuast and underdrive pulleys, and my car weighs under 2800#'s. With sticky tires, and since I can cactually drive, should be able to hit mid to low 14's. It'll suprise the heck out ot stock DSMs and a lot of other "fast" cars. I love sleepers!: :D
