Okay guys I have been tossing around the idea of trying rallycross next year and need some ideas for suspension setup? Ride height, tire type, and spring selection. Thanks in advance. Keith

Thanks, Defiant. Yeah this has been one of those you know you want to do it things.:thumb:

I've just been running my 92 Talon AWD in the stock S4 class from time to time. The stock ride height is just about perfect for rallycrossing, since the courses are usually cleared of foreign objects around here. The stock worn Goodyear RS-As and stock suspension were with 1.5 seconds of two PGT WRX's, which is a lot, but I also had a busted knock sensor, tranny issues, and later discovered a partially spun rod bearing.

Its really a lot of fun, maybe a few years down the road(after college is over) I'll try and build up a ClubRally PGT DSM.

Cool:thumb: My only other real concern is what type of modifications I will be allowed( I haven't gotten my SCCA rule book yet :( ), if I am only allowed minimal mods then I will need to start digging up factory parts so that I can be with in the requirements. Any more info will be greatly appreciated.

For Rallycross, you'll really just want to talk to your local group and find out how they class things. S2 and S4 are two classes our area(they may be in the rules also) uses in the same way Solo 2 does its stock classes. We also use the ProRally/ClubRally rules for cars that fit into them.

For S4, which is for all stock AWD vehicles:
Stock boost levels
Any shocks
Any street legal tires are ok(rally tires may bump you)
Any airfilters, can usually get away with a hacked airbox
Any catback exhaust
Stock size wheels
Everything else should be stock.

The ProRally classes can be found on the SCCA's website someplace.
