Turbo Setups

Hey guys .... it has come down to the crunch for me here ....
time to make that turbo upgrade I have been longing for ......

I'm looking for an internally gated turbo that will push about 400 whp ...
see bellow for my list of current mods ..... I am considering the following

1 - SBR 20G
2 - PTE 50 Trim
3 - HRC S20G

What do you guys think I should go with???

Making 400 whp on a 20g may be a bit tricky. Can it be done on race gas, and 26 psi? Yes. We have done it, and so can you.

Last weekend while racing my FWD at Hyper-Fest ( a little road racing never hurt anyone, unless you let Craig E. drive your car ), they had a portable dyno....

So I figured I would get some pump gas and 20 PSI numbers on my daily FWD ( 91 GST ) The car has a stage II bottom end, SS valves, springs and retainers, STOCK cams and intake manifold. We use an AFC, 2g mas and FIC 650 cc injectors.

The numbers were about what I expected, 361 WHP and 322 Ft lbs of torque. Decent for a simple set up. Add race gas, and turn up the boost and 400 WHP is attainable on this turbo easily. Yes, this turbo is internally gated also.

You will need bigger injectors for 400 WHP.
