With the help of a few fellow DSMers we got my ACT2100 installed Tuesday. All I can say is that this thing grabs like crazy!! I almost stalled out when I first started to take off in 1st gear. I haven't had a chance to see how this thing grabs at full throttle yet because I'm babying it and staying out of boost while the clutch breaks in. I've noticed it is much harder to synchronize gear shifts to where the car doesn't jerk a little when changing gears.
So back to my question, at the track on the stock clutch I would rev to about 3k rpms and slip the clutch in. Is this still the technique I should use with the ACT2100, or is there another technique that would work better with this newfound grip?

So some poor sucker helped you put that thing in:p :thumb: , it was a complete pain, but you're gonna LOVE it, and it didn't go as bad as the typical DSM repair (i.e. something going wrong). Just wait until you have to change your name to "20g_greddyspyder"? :thumb:

Anyways, you gotta do like the street "racers" do down here on airport blvd.... rev till 6000, then dump it, cause spinning the wheels means you're faster than the other guy even though you just lost the race...."I'm putting down so much power with the nawwwss that i can't get traction on the street, yo"

now you can take the revs up a little more 3500-4500, and let the clutch out slower, it'll handle the slipping ALOT better, and you can manipulate the clutch to reduce wheel spin. Just make sure not to blow the welds off the intake manifold, or me and steve will have to make a ghetto catch can again(inside joke). Btw, you still have synchromesh in your hair!

Hey, Mike, why don't you post those lovely pics????
hehe
