Actually things started to go bad before we got there. I just installed my 3" turbo back exhaust, ported a whole lot of things, and turned up my boost to 15psi. I went for a test drive after i did all the mods and i started to break traction in 2nd. It felt great. On the way to the tracks on the highway i felt like going around these slow @$$ cars so i left my car in 4th and started to roll on the throttle. once it hit 12psi my revs went up faster than usual. I was like wtf? So i tried it again and the revs went up without the car going any faster. It was a nightmare. I was only 2 miles away from the tracks. I did a 15.0 et. on that slipping clutch it barely even chirped went i dumped the clutch on the launch. I stopped after I run cause i wanted drive home not towed

I was thinking about the act 2600 clutch. I did a search but i only hear a lot of awd owners using it. Is it a good idea for a fwd to get one? My goals are breaking into 12's BTW This is not a daily driven car. Can any estimate what kind of times i would've gotten if my clutch wasn't slippin

I've got an ACT 2600 in my '90 AWD and a cfdf im my '91 FWD, both Talon Tsi's. The cf feels like stock and RRE has tested it and it shows to have 2500 psi. The 2600 is what it says but you feel it in the pedal. Two totally different designs. It seems to me like the ACT puts too much strain on pedal/hydraulic parts. But they both work.

i really don't mind the pedal pressure because this car is not daily driven. I really want something that will hold a lot of power. I wanna keep away from breaking too many things also. I've gotten to the conclusion that power=broken car parts= vacuum in bank account:cry:

Ive had the center force tht RRE sells for about 3k miles and it works great. The pedal is very soft, put doesnt feel weak. The only thing i noticed is that the shop who did it for me set the clutch to disengage .5" off the floor, and now its back to like 3" or so, where the stock point was...o well. All in all i love it, grabs nicely.
