Eclipse GST Vs. Mazda RX7

I was out tonight with my friends and we went out to the races and a Integra RSX was racing a RX7 and the RX7 lost by like 1/2 a car. I was out that night with my friends car a 97 GST with an intake, tunabe exhaust, and uper intercooler piping, any how I challenged the RSX and beat it by a car length and he took of earlier than me and jumpt ahead by 1/2 a car but I caught up and beat him. Everyone thouht I was squeezing because A month before the RX7 had beat the GST a car length and a 1/2 because the car had a boost leak but any how they challenged us for next week and I am trying to convince my friend to install my turbo xs dual stage boost controller on his car and also the 2.5 inch race cat. I am thinking of running 16 psi on the higher boost and stock boost in low boost, but I want to know how much boost would be safe to run with the mods i mentioned. We can run him withought the boost controler and I am almost sure I can beat him but just incase they do somthing to their car because they want to bet 100 dollars and we agreed, because I doubt they will do anything to their car. The funny thing is nobody thought an eclipse could be fast, they just got mad and really fast acused me of usin nos and by the way the GST has a type s blow off valve.

ok..15 psi is pushing it on stock fuel system..even u know i run 16.5 the little t25 is just pushing hot air..but i would say 16 psi is safe..but egt are going to get high in high rpm...iam using the sbc-id..so i dont really get spikes like some mbc...but is the rx-7 a 3rd gen..if so it should be faster then any t25 dsm..unless the guy cant drive u never know..but u have a good chance...i would tell u to put the cat and downpipe on..maybe even do the fuel pump mod..he could run 19psi with the mod i know some who do..but itz going to give him a little more power but kill the t25...good luck...tell me who wins..iam in diamond bar...so if u need any help iam not far..stay up....check out my site if u want.... www.cardomain.com/id/lhduce

THE rx7 IS ATHIRD GENERATION AUTOMATIC TRANSMISION. The raeson i think i can beat it is because the rsx beat it and i beat the rsx. Well send me a pic of the rims because the owner of the GST is looking for 18 inch gun metal rims he may be interested and do you think we can run 15psi for just that one race.

I meant to say at least 14psi the reason I ask is because in the web site www.extrememotorsports .com in their upgrade aequence they said it would be fine to run 14 psi maybe 15 psi with the stock fuel pump.

15psi is very safe with stock fuel pump..i was running 16psi which is on the limit which will be fine to....Some of the LA crew are running 19 psi on stock fuel pump as we speak...brian hehe....So 15psi will be fine...
but mind u.....The 3rd rx-7 is power house even and auto..if he puts just bpu mods on his car mostly bolt ons....he will be a 12 second car with the right driver i use to have a 3rd 5spd..and with bolt ons i was well into the 12s even if he is and auto..but good luck.. i will email u some pic

Hey prodigy thanks for the advice but I dont think the owner of the rx7 will put any mods in his car and the car aint that fast it got beat by the integra rsx and then i smoked the rsx by a car length. Well anyhow do you know a web site where i can check out the rims you are selling maybe you and my friend can work somthing out and how much do you want for them.

Stock auto Rx-7 + 5spd GS-T with all mods and good driver like dsm girl..she should be fine in the 1/4 after that i dont know..but like i said..if she does not win iam willing to take a little drive in my lexus..itz not that fast...itz and auto to..with a little 2jz-gte suprise..get ur money back

like i said its an rx7 but it aint that fast ive seen that car run and it lost against a rsx type s and I beat the rsx well any how we are geting some cheaters to put on the car and installing a 16g turbo and my dual stage boost controler probably run 15 psi and if its to much witch i doubt it is we will run 14 psi and can almost garanty I will beat it well ile lete you guys know.
