Wow, today was amazing. It was my first time at a track, ever. Never even been as a spectator before.
Had some veterans there to coach me a bit.
Started off with a couple high 13's, dealing with how to launch, clutch slipping issues, and missing gears.
Then had a run where the clutch didn't slip, but still couldn't hit 3rd very well, and ran a mid 12.
But I was pumped because I was improving every run.
Well after that 12, I had a run where things came together pretty well for the most part. Still lots of room for improvement. But clutch didn't slip, hit all gears (although I was granny shifting), and ran my best time of the day:

My car has no cage, standard old power seat belts, just a straight street car. Didn't even hear a peep from anyone at the track for the time or trap I thought I was going to get an ear-full considering a shop we were there with ran 137 on his first pass and they gave him the boot because he didn't have a fire suit on.
Ran 2 more runs after that to try and 1-up that run, but the clutch was just slipping through every gear, so I just called it a day.
It was funny because everyone said they missed that run on tape (but of course caught all my crappy runs on tape). But one person just wrote me saying they think they got the run on tape. Crappy quality, but it's all we got.

I think with some more seat time, and just more getting used to my car, with those trap speeds, I should be into the 10's easily!!! I'm just so happy I ran what I did, on my first time ever at a track.
