Do u have an AFC for the bigger injectors u plan on running? && FMIC really dont do any good with a STOCK turbo btw.

I would suggest gettting a BOOST Controller and a bigger turbo and some injectors with an AFC. But before that... you need to add more Support mods first.

FMIC will definitely help with the stock turbo as long as you have the supporting mods as mentioned. I was able to safely run 20psi on pump gas once I got a FMIC back when I had my 14b. In a full weight car I ended up with a 12.3 @ 110 on race gas and a 12.8 @ 106 on pump gas.

His car's far from stock. Here's his mod list from a previous post:

hi. I currently have a 93 awd laser with a small 16g fully rebuilt....
its working fine...

my good buddy has a new evoIII big 16g for sale....a real one...no knock off...

he paid 800cdn for it....and he installed it and blew his timing belt 2 weeks later and parted out the car...

i can get this turbo for 420 cdn....

is it worth it?

honeslty?

i can sell my small 16g and get mabye 300 for it....but i want some opinions....

thanxs

as it stand now my laser has a rebuilt motor...

arp head studs...
cometic head gasket...
hks 264int
hks 272 exh...
small 16g turbo...
hafe cast manifold...
tial 38mm ext wastegate...set at 14.7lbs...
3 inch exh...
stage 3 dsm chips chip...
625cc hahn racecraft inj.
walbro fuel pump.
rewire.
xtd stage 4 2300 lb racing clutch...
jdm switchable tranny...

i have mmcd and a palm to tune it....

but after 15lbs boost it knocks so i have it at 15 lbs and its fast....
i do have a stock hurting smic....and i know this needs to be upgraded ....before i can run like 20lbs...
but should i get the fmic? or the evoIII turbo or deal with the center diff weak link?"

With supporting mods. I hate when people slap on large turbo's but don't have anything to support it

Maybe he was just driving better It does seem a bit low but if he got out of the hole good and through the 1/8th then the 14b could be dropping off up top or the IC getting heat soaked.

watch out for people telling you their car runs stock 1/4 mile times, especially if money is mentioned... with a little modification C5's can easily run 12's

watch out. There was a night when some guy was trash talking a 2g GST with a T3/t4. The guy said ill race you for 5Gs. The Eclipse guy said put your money on the hood. So he did and they raced. The eclipse smoked him. Just be careful. who cares what people think of your car, His car is new its supposed to look nice and go fast. Im sure you can win respect once you can smoke him. But you will need to do some research and Know what you need to do to your car. Some people are satisfied with a stock awd turbo, I sometimes just wish mine ran, I have been works for 2 years on this car and know exactly what to do and what I want to do to make the most power with the buget that I have. Now it comes down to the time that I have to work on my car.
