TPG: Getting Closer

Headed out to our Sport Compact night tonight with a more or less non-running car, fixed it, and started making passes. First out of the gate was a 10.72 way down on boost and spinning. Next pass missed 4th. Next pass it spun a little less, 10.46, uh oh. Last pass of the night it spun HARD as track prep was junk, but managed a 10.40 at 133.

That was around 30psi and 22 degrees of advance. Should have been anyways. We didn't have a laptop in the car the whole time at the track. Still straight pump gas.

We were thinking of a 3065 if we wanted to go faster on pump gas, but now we are thinking full 35r and just laying the smack down.

I think the whole pump gas thing is what really amazes people when they see what you're accomplishing. With that said, I think you're going to be able to really break a lot of stuff (maybe even some records) with a 35r. Especially if you use race gas.

The goal was to break into the 9's on pump, as soon as we do that (hopefully this weekend) we'll go to the 35R.

I suspect the with a 35R on the car we will be in the very low 9's at 150-55mph, we'll probably try running it on pump first .

Just a quick update...

Since it's supposed to be over 90* and a chance of rain tomorrow at Beaver we will be at PRP tonight for their late night TNT. Hopfully with the cooler temps and low humidity we'll get close to that single digit timeslip!
