hey guys i am goin to the track for the fist time on sunday wondering if that are any pointers i can get. what should i launch at its awd check my mods and when should i shift and what would a good boost level be? my mom think she is gonna beat me in her 05 mustang gt auto.ROFL

its all on your preference, how you feel about the car. like when i take my car to the track, im ###### only gonna launch at 3500-4000grand, i dont want to break anything and plus the track is 2hours away. theres a lot to consider, stock clutch? didnt see an aftermarket one in mod list so im guessing so, if you can afford to fix anything broken, launch the crap out of it but if dont have the money, launch easy and look at your trap speed.

Run around 20psi, launch around 5krpm and slip the clutch not drop it. Shift at redline. But that is just me.

Edit: Just drive strait up the the beams and hold the revs to about 4.5krpm(while you wait for the car in the next lane to do its burn out), start the bring the rev to 5krpm while your slipping the clucth. When you fell it to start grapping let go. Boom mid12's

You deffinitly don't have the mods to run 20psi...around 15 should work nicely.

Also it is curtesy to not fully stage while the other car does his burnout, pre stage and wait for him to pre stage then you can pull all the way in and bring the revs up.

I used to hate that guy when i had my VW and had to warm up slicks

its all about learning when you go to the track. first time youll be nervous, might bog, might miss a shift. Practice makes perfect:thumb:

thats if you want to look like a jackass, and then blow up your car b/c you dont have supporting mods....

Anyways, how did you do today? Did you get the jitters out? What times did you run and on what boost?
