Nice run DSM, :thumb: 2.0 60' on street tires w/ FWD :thumb:

When you get a chance, please update your profile. I have a few friends w/ 2G FWD that have goals to run high 12's. They'd like to see your mods list.

Do you guys consider Green Dot retreads "street tires"?? I do. They have normal tread like normal tires, just a lot softer compound. If that's the case, then my 1.98 60' on them RAWKS!!!!!

I'd like more info about the green dots. So far seems like that boosted performance are the only gys that sells them. I heard some good stuff about them and that they last a long time because the work cold (no need to burnout). So who else sells them? I used to have nitto drag radials and my 60's where'nt that much better than with my stock GT+4's. I need some very sticky tires because with the current settup i have now they will just spin spin spin.

Just look at my profile. That page is kinda confusing. I dunno wich ones are the green dots. They say that the code for green is 45 but i just can't find it! I'm planning to mount them on the stock rim.

TSI92 - Go to www.retreadsunlimited.com. Once you see the home page, click on "High Performance Z Class" in the blue box on the left. Then simply pick your size. They are ALL Green Dot retreads. They are simply a retreaded tire with a much softer compound. There is/was a green dot on them from the factory (possibly signifying retread??), hence the name Green Dot retread. I mounted mine to the stock 1G 6" rim. Fit without any problems, but they do stick out a little off the rim (225 tire on a 6" rim). I don't have any problems with normal driving or 1/4 mile racing, but I wouldn't try to do any serious turning at excessive speeds on that combo.

Canadian - Doesn't take a whole lot. Above the "usual" mods, I had a small 16G (ported, no clip), FMIC, 550's, Walbro 255, AFC, 2G MAS, KYB AGX shocks in REAR only, TMO stage III, 20psi. Most of the ET came from driving, but the TMO helped a LOT due to the "never lift to shift" motto :) I set the rear shocks to full stiff, 18psi in the FRONT tires, launched at 4500rpm, and cut a 1.98 60' on the retreads. I know the car had a LOT more in it, as I couldn't get it to run any better with anything above 20psi (my FMIC and knowledge were the limiting factors), along with only 125psi in cyl. #3. The car was full weight, minus jack and spare tire.

Hope this helps ya. If you got any questions about the setup, feel free to ask.

Mike

That's Pretty much exactly the setup I will have except I will have a Big 16g and probaly no 2g mas or TMO chip.

Glad to see that I can hit 12's with some nice tires and good driving.

thanks all, i pretty much have bolt ons, major ones are: 16g, fmic, 3inch dp, intake, injectors etc etc. full interior(daily driver) i hope to better my time next time around :D

Ok, took her to the track tonight. Best was 14.10@103 @ 14 psi with a 2.4 60 foot. Yes I was very dissapointed. So I go pit in all pissed and $hit, and i pop the hood, then I notice this loud hissing noise and I realized there was a BIG vacuum leak somewhere, also I was wondering why my car couldn't idle. So, I realized I was running with a missing biss screw! And I was checking all the piping connections and the inlet side of the IC the clamp was past the bead, so there was defineately a leak there too. Thank God I have a VPC or it would be pretty much impossible to drive it home with such a big vacuum leak.

Oh yeah I realized tonight that even though with all those big leaks, the car still hauls ass and nito drag radials ain't gonna cut it.
