just wondering..... i have 92 tsi , with everything stock, but a act 2600,and a act lightened flywheel, and a 3"downpipe tapered into stock catback. if i take this car to redline and just drop the clutch, should it spin tires or just bog down to below full boost. i just recently put the clutch and f/w, but it don't feel normal. with the stock clutch, i tied this once too and it spun all tires.. any insight would be nice

i guess you didnt read what i wrote. im sure that by dumping the clutch at REDLINE , im over therpm range

God damn.
If you have a good clutch you can do clutch dumps.
2600 is enough and WILL spin the tires because you are over the launching rpm range.
I read what you said. You cant launch at redline.

why cant i launch it at redline?

why in every post of yours' you have to swear all the time. imaturity, huh?

but you still didnt answer why i cant launch it at redline :)

I hope you have a couple gift certificates for local auto parts shops. With everything stock and dumping the clutch at redline will pretty much grenade numerous different parts of the car.

Also remember you are looking at a car that is 16 years old, and you are putting excessive strain and jolting many old and possibly worn parts. Hey, if you want to do that, then go and try it. See what happens, but it won't be pretty.

Best bet is to find a proper launching RPM and clutch release that suits you best along with the minimal modifications you have done to your car.

Well then take it out and launch it at redline as many times as you can and when it breaks, and it will, tell us how much it costs to fix it ok. This will give you the answer of why you can't launch a stock car with just a clutch upgrade at redline.

i dont know who you think you are. now to speak my peace,i put myself in a position to get banned once more .you 16 old brat. isnt it past your bedtime??????????????????????????????

All we are trying to say is your going to break internals in the transmission and possibly more stuff by launching it at redline.

Just start at say 3K rpm's and do a launch and if it bogs than increase your launch point and keep repeating the process until you find a good rpm point that doesn't bog down and also doesn't overwhelm and spin the tires.

But also remember that you are still stock and launching it will still be hard on the tranny and t-case and will wear them out faster than normal driving.

point taken thank you

No problem man, I just don't want to see you on here later saying your tranny or whatever broke and you now need to replace. Just take care of the car and don't abuse it too much and hopefully it will reward you with being problem free for years to come.:thumb:

If only it was a perfect world buddy.
I WISH dsm trannys were strong.

i can spin pretty well awd
slip the clutch a bit and rev between 5500 and 6500
got me a 1.8 60ft with a mis sift.
all over the place

Try lounching at 4500RPMs... and feel you car's reaction, then adjust to it in that range. Red line is just too much, you will break stuff for no reason... :talon:

And when the two of you come back, don't bench race, don't cuss each other out, don't make threats, and if one of you pisses off the other, don't rise to the bait. Just report the problem and move on.
