I stripped the threads in my block while torqing to 100 pounds and I have thread chunks on my bolts, what are my options?

New block - I wouldn't trust a rethreaded head bolt thread myself. Why were you torquing up to 100ft/lb? Next time, stop at 85. You might even want to make sure that your torque wrench is calibrated while you're at it - there are a few people that torque to 100ft/lb for some reason and the threads still hold usually. A higher torque on your head bolts does not necessarily mean a better seal - oftentimes it means a distorted head, crushed head, or ripped threads.

I'm assuming you're talking about stock headbolts?

DEFF stock head bolts :)
**i would do this only if you rung out one or (2 thread holes at maxxx)** if more get a new block!!
i woukld go with ARP studs and retap( maybe throw a real tiny bit of jb weld inside the threads down in there and make sure none gets anywhere near the surface. your only supose to put the Studs in snug btw...but then again a new block would be better NO DOUBT, if you already have your short block assembled i would get ARPs and go from there..IF it were me.

The ARP's did that, I torqued them to 85 the first time then had to pull head after two weeks, put them in hand tight then torqued to 100 because I lost lube and used 10-30. Only one of the threads is bad, number in 2 torque sequence, my 95 has 35000 original miles, so it is a new block, Kinda:)

yeah bro then i would use some JB weld on the one stud deff (into the block only ofcorse :D) if you got all that time in an assembled engine and like i said before make sure you dont get any near the surface. you only are goin to need a littlebit. you can give me a call if you need any help just PM me brother :thumb: and check the studd well any way you can after you do it just to make sure it is a success before you assemble

give me a call back and let me kno how it went brotha:thumb:
