1G NT thermostat housing

Not sure if this is 'custom fabrication' enough... just drill and tap work.
NT thermostat housing, bead blasted and painted. Sensors relocated to the rear, ECU coolant temp needs a 3/8 female x 1/4 male adapter to keep the heater core connection. Thanks to EclipseOwner95 for the idea.

You would have to use the 1g style waterpipe for this to work.

You should be able to do something similar for a 2G, but the only 2G here right now has a 6 bolt already.

Separates any air bubbles in the coolant stream via centrifugal force and gravity. The offset inlet/outlet will spin the coolant.

It shouldn't have bubbles if you bleed it properly so what other purpose does it do?

You will get tiny air bubbles even if it is flushed properly and you can get steam bubbles forming as well. Most new road race cars seem to have swirl pots.

Make sure to run an NPT tap through first because the factory threads are BSPT.
