Sheetmetal intakes/emissions?

I've heard that sheet metal intakes are a no-no for emissions laws... is this true? Does this mean it may be better to just port the stocker?

This is correct, therefore, before you change out the intake there are alot of other things that you can spend your money on other than intake mani! My.02

Extrude hone what? All reports that I have seen show that there is almost no gain by extrude honing a stock 1g intake mani. Your intake manifold is the least of your concerns regarding emissions. Let me second what they said about not needing it until you are making some big power.
