14b used cracked is it normal

My 14 B I got from Ebay is cracked on the exhaust housing side through the housing to the wastegae hole. I was reading that is normal but I wanted to make sure before I bolt it up to my car that it is infact normal to have a crack in there.

Yes, very normal. Every one I've seen has a large crack, usually right across the wastegate flapper hole.

Every 14 B tubrine housing i've used or came across about 4 so far, have had obveous cracks on them with white exhuast gases escaping from that crack. But the worst one that i've come across was off of my 93tsi awd with 140,000 miles, never seen one worse, But since the turbo was mint otherwise, i installed a 7cm turbine housing (ported) that came off of a 16G turbo. Big performance gains and bolts right up. I think SBR or MachV have them for sale or check DSMmotorsports.com

Mine is cracked though the wastegate but also its cracked in inside where it bolts to the manifold they are not right through the casting.

cracking right near the manifold is very common too, you are better off buying a 7cm housing then trying to fix the one you have.
