FMIC from a rig

hey, i had a thought the other day, rigs use huge intercoolers, and a radiator shop can easily make one to almost any size, and it would be alot cheaper then 1300 bucks. Anyone got and pro's and con's for using this method? thanks ken

yeah its been done with ford powerstroke intercoolers, but they are HUGE and it a pain in the ass to get the thing in there. it hangs down real low and by the time all the work is done with piping and all...you prob would have just opted for a real fmic

With all the available Cheap options there are out there, i dont think that people are going to be going that route very often anymore.

At the cheapest, you have the DEJONTOOL front mount 600 bucks

second, RRE has the 800 front mount

Then theres, the Indy Race Cores set up, which can get you a REALLY nice unit for the price.. 950? correct me kevin?

i can get one and have one done for less then 200 bucks, thats what i meant by cheap wise? will it be able to hold 22 psi without a problem?

bigger is not always better, look at the flow charts, and quit trying to be so cheap

im not trying to be so cheap, but if you could get this to work as well, id sure in the hell like to save the 500 plus bucks
