Okay, I have a FP Green with 40mm Tial and a Profec B with an .8 bar spring.

Problem ...boost goes to 15lbs, then keeps creeping up to 20 where I always let off the gas because I don't have the injectors unless on race gas for that much boost currently. Kinda stumped. I hooked up the Profec like the manual says and I've adjusted the 4 switches on the back of the profec unit and still no luck. I'm using the poppet valve instructions.

I think it could be due to wastegate opening on the turbine housing being to small because I get the same results if the profec is off. Oh, forgot, I got the gain all the way down and the boost all the way to the left which is minimum boost possible ..should be like 11 or 12 lbs max.

Basically, i got the hose off the profec unit going to the fpr hose. Then I have from the wg, from the top going to bov return line (which feeds to the intake manifold). Then the side hose off the wg is going to I believe the "Out" on the Greddy motor unit. Then the "In" on the Greddy motor is going to the turbo. Not that it should matter, but this is on a 2G. I can't remember for sure, but I'm fairly positive that's how its hooked up currently. I have tried a coupel different ways with the same results.

Could anyone with a Tial External on a 2g with profec b tell me how they have there's wired?

Thanks for you help,
Chris

profec b having issues with boost creep? I ported my small 16G, and I could hold 9psi to redline (but that was with the Profec turned OFF). I never have had a problem with creep with it on, nor has anyone i know running the Profec had that problem either. Sounds like you need to open the wg hole on the Green up a bit.

YOu also didn't tell us if this is O2 mounted or manifold mounted. Manifold gates will have a bigger tendency to creep on you.

It's O2 mounted. That's what I am thinking ... I need to open up the wg hole. Bah, Oh well, guess I gotta take it off :(

I just have one more question ..should I be capping the hold off the compressor housing or should that have a hose attached to it. Right now I have the profec installed like this. I have the top of the wg going to the "out" on the greddy motor. I have the "in" on the motor going to the the compressor housing. I have the side of the wg going to the bov line.

Last question is that there is a small hose which is coming from below the air filter hooked up to some gizmo I don't know what is. This used to be hooked up to my intake snorkel in the stock setup. Does this need to be capped off should i just let it be?

Thanks for the help

Just curious, who did the port work? The port work done by Turbotrix on mine was pretty sorry. The hole was left about 32mm. You need to open that sucker up to 39mm at least. You need to match the area of that hole to the area of the 40mm of your tial to utilize your wastegate efficiently. I've ported my turbine housing 3 times already. I thought I finally got rid of boost creep w/ my green and then i put in my cams and creep came back.

I wouldn't worry about your Profec setup. If it worked fine before your turbo upgrade, it should be ok now. Just port that hole out. It's a lot of work though.

Well, that gizmo i was talking about is the stock boost control solenoid (DOH), and I didn't have the profec before the Green, I had a xbc, but it was creeping also. I guess i was just hoping it was something else that could have caused the creep.

On a side note, can I leave the stock bcs hose uncapped ...i'm fairly certain I can, but just wanted to make sure.

It's actually kind of funny because the instructions that came with the box are slightly different than what is on the greddy site.

I guess they are both the same when its all said and done though. The top link shows the compressor housing or lower i/c source going to the "in" on the greddy motor unit vs the lower link where the "in" is just going to the intake manifold.

Thanks again,
