Hey whats up guys? I just got a Greddy turbo timer from a friend who was selling his 97 Eclipse Spider GS-T. Problem is I don't have the instruction booklet. I hooked it up just fine it alows the car to idle when the key is removed just like it's supposed to but I don't know how to hook up the other wires for like the parking brake safety switch. Though it was just the grey wire hanging off the harness but that didn't seem to work. I downloaded the Adobe Acrobat Reader file from the Greddy.com website. but that didn't help it has to do with hard wiring the TT without a harness. Also I would like to know if it's possible to use the TT and harnes with the factory Mitsubishi alarm. Right now my remote will lock the doors while counting down but it does not turn on the alarm because the car is still running. There are alot of wires that aren't hooked to anything. Are those the ones that I need to hook up to the alram? If so how do I do that? I looked at the vfaq but thats for the hks TT. I don't know if it can be done because all the wires are white except the few that aren't connected. What are the other features of the TT? I noticed it does have the volt meter. Is that it? I know you can also make a cust song but that reminds me... How do you get it to turn of that crappy music while it's counting down! I can't stand that. Well thanks if you made it this far. Any help would be great. Thanks guys.

is it the new or old style? My new still is sittin in my closet and I have the instructions so I can help you out. With the alarm I think there is a thing on vfaq.com. Get back to me and Ill look it up for you.

I am pretty sure it's the old style because I don't have the cool blue screen or the flashy chrome buttons. I did look at vfaq. I even printed that article out but it's for an HKS TT. I don't know if that will work or not. Since my harness has all white wires except the ones that are connected and those ones are like red, green, and blue. There is a wierd looking connecter with two wires going into it, and a grey wire which I thought was for the e-brake switch but when I hooked that up it didn't seem to work. Well anyway here is the pic: I got it off ebay you can see that small black wierd connecter kind of and the grey wire that I thought went to the e-brake. This is what mine looks like but it's black not silver.

Parking Brake Feature:
(1) remove the cover over the parking brake and find the parking swith wire(s). (see factory service manual)
(2) *if there is one wire, make sure the wire: shows 0 volts, when the parking brake is engaged and shows 12 volts, when the parking brake is released *if there are two wires, find the wire that: shows 0 volts, when parking brake is engaged and shows 12 volts when the parking brake is released.
(3) route the brown wire from the 2-pin connector to the parking brake switch you found in (2).
(4) connect the brown wire to the wire found in (2).
(5) replace the parking brake cover.

Those are the exact words from the manual. If you need anything else feel free to ask.

How about the music? How do you turn it off? Anything on the alarm?

Ill have to ask my friend that has the old style because ours are different as far as the music goes. The alarm doesnt have anything to do with the way you hooked up the turbo timer. Look through www.vfaq.com I think its in there.

Ok well thanks for the help. I will take another look at the vfaq. So the only thing I need help with now is on how to turn off that music. I know it's possible because my friend that had it before me it was always quite. He doesn't remember how he did it though. Thanks again man.

ok I just got off the phone with my friend and he says he doesnt know how to permantly turn the music off but you can do this- When the music starts hold the select button for 5 seconds, then when shutting down just hit select once and it will turn off. But with that you have to do it everytime. Sorry I know that didnt help but thats the best I can do. I would say find a user on tuners that has the old style greddy tt and ask them if they know.

Ok cool thanks alot man. If anyone else has any info. feel free to chime in. Thanks

a little late but i just searched, this came up and wasnt what i was looking for but i figured id chime in to help out. if you have the older greddy type 0 like i have (black with red LCD) when it is counting down, press and hold the power button until the music turns off. hope this helps.

this is an old post, but the older Greddys can disable the safety features.

When I bought my car back in 2000 it never responded to the parking brake. I checked everything and eventually gave up.

In 2003! OMG I found out by reading the online manual (pdf) that you have to do a certain button/key sequence to enable the speedo and parking brake feature.

I don't remember what the exact sequence was but i still have the manual so i'll attach it for posterity.
edit
well it won't allow it to upload right now
but if anyone needs it between now and when I get it uploaded just shoot me an email

I'm going to add these items in a seperate post so they can be referneced by themselves in the non performance category.
