Las Vegas,
Time to choose an intercooler for my new set-up powered bya a t-61 but I have one question:

How much does the length of intercooler piping effect spool? Everyone says that it will take longer to spool ect. But let say I get an intercooler that is side to side flowing and have to run the intercooler pipes from one side of the front-end to the other rather then to and from the side of the radiator like the bushur style front mounts. Is there gonna be a signifigant loss of spooltime with the extra 3-4 feet of piping?

thanks
anything helps

Nah.

When you're spooling, let's say at 3000 rpm, you are flowing about 50 liters per second into the motor. An extra liter or two of piping isn't much more volume to fill.

The volume doesn't affect spool but the pressure drop of the IC system should have an effect on spool and power.
