OK, I am a new member so let me tell you about my car....

I have a 92' Elcipse 2.0 16-valve DOHC...
Right now its sitting in my driveway, drivable but only on tree cylinders, I think I burned the engine out...

Anyways I am considering of buying a new engine... Here is my delema....

I want to buy the turbo engine, will and what problems will I run into installing this engine, and what else do I need...
Do I nee a new?
ECU
Electirical Wiring
and anything else...

Also I was thinking of getting an engine of a GSX, also getting a GSX tranny and drivetrain, will I have any problems putting these into my car or not...

Also do any of you know where can I get these parts and how reliable these places are and what price range I am looking at for the parts...

Thank You

Any help is appreciated...

the easiest way BUY a GSX.
second dont do it.

the third easiest way. Buy a crash GSX so you have most of the parts.

From what I know it a royal PITA.

To do the Front Wheel Drive to All Wheel Drive is going to be expensive!!! Your better off buying a slightly wrecked or salvaged (lower cost) GSX, as nowayout said. Reason being is you already have a 1G to part to the wrecked GSX ie damaged body parts. Then the NA to turbo conversion is a whole other world to be delt with!!! If your into the 1G you can get a high milage GSX for a really good price. Just shop around and talk to a lot of DSMers about what you want to buy. I mean I've seen the 95 GSX go for under 10,000 (with high miles, and a possible walking crank) so Im sure the 1G would be a good bit less, although I really haven't looked into it. Good thing is the 1G is a great platform for a really high performance car, and the 1G 4G63 engines are tough as hell! Which is the reason 2G guys swap the block and head.

Good luck

Thanks guys,

The reason I wanted a GSX, is because I need a car to build up for autocrossing...

I was going to use my 98 prelude, already have my suspencion build up, but I decided to use my old eclipse instead....

That all wheel drive would of been nice, but I guess I can live without it...

So how about me droping a turbo engine FWD into my car.... What will it take and what do I need to get like ECU and what else....

The reason I want a turbo is becuase I will be staying in second and third most of the time and that turbo will help me get out of the turns...

Turboing my prelude will cost to much 3K for turbo kit and around 2K more for building up the engine... I figured if I get a turbo engine already then 3-4K should get me all build up ..... and ready to go...
