Turbo identification...

I came across a new-in-a-box Mitsubishi turbo for an Isuzu truck. It has a GM part # on it. Does anyone know how to determine if it's a 16G, big 16G, 18G or whatever just by the part # or some other identifying numbers on it? I also have the year and model of truck that it fits- 1990 NPR W4500.

This guy wants way less for this than a new 16G costs.

Can you tell us what badging is on the turbo?

It's in a box that says it is a GM factory rebuilt unit. GM owns Isuzu and evidently they've always used Mitsubishi turbos.

The GM part # on the unit is 94052152. That's all I can find out about it.

No lettering at all on the compressor housing?

That's all the info I have been able to get on it. Not enough to tell anything, I guess...

The owner of this fine unit is not within driving distance from me and doesn't own one.

BTW, people over 55 aren't required to own one, so I have an excuse...

Pretty sure Defiant is older than you.

What is the big deal with this turbo? Is the price THAT great? Will it bolt up to your manifold withoud having to fab something or purchase additional parts?
