I'm doing a compression test on my '90 DSM tomorrow with my mechanic. I have a Haynes manual which will assist with the procedure. Any advice/tips when we do the test? 164 is optimal numbers for the test, correct? Thanks. I'm expecting somewhat high numbers. Car runs extremely well and is quite fast (hung with a lightly modded supercharged Lightning the other night:thumb:

Take out the MPI fuse, take out 1 plug, turn the car over 4 times.

Check compression guage for highest number, and if the number steadily drops at all(shouldnt drop).

Repeat in each cylinder.

Takes all of 5 mins.

Good luck though.
