intake manifolds.....

my friend has a venom turbo intake manifold for a first gen....and wants to sell it to me but I have a 2nd gen...will it fit, because he wants to sell it to me for 250.00?

I am almost certain that it wont fit. Get a magnus instead.

I don't understand why you guys say it won't fit. Many will agree that the mani is not as good as a magnus but as far as fitment goes...gasket match you head and install a 1G TB and you will be set. It should be no harder than putting 1G TB and stock 1G mani on.

aren't you not supposed to mess with the ports on the head(you will ruin flow if you arent experienced with porting)?

I think it would work alot better if you got a 1g head to go with.

I have read quite a bit that gasket matching wont hurt if done properly. My head was gasket matched, casting inperfections smoothed out and some other mild porting was done near the valve guides. As long as you dont drasticly change the shape and just blend everything nicly, you will be fine. On a 1g, there wasnt much material to remove from the intake manifold and head to gasket match. You dont need to remove lots of material when porting these heads, its very minimal. I cant speak for a 2g head and mani though cause I have only done it to 1g heads. Good luck.

Robby covered most of it very nicely. I just wanted to add that you will also need to relocate your coils and cruise control. This isn’t an easy install and it wouldn’t be worth it with a 16g or maybe even a 20g.
