if your head has a lot of miles its not a bad idea to get new springs and retainers as the stock springs may be worn down a bit

i have crowers in my head..just not installed

Stock springs,retainers and the car just hit 100,000. So far so good but if something goes wrong I'll let you know.

also if you ever plan on revving your engine higher, you can do it more safely with the crower springs

The new valve springs garuntee that there will not be valve float at high RPMs. Although the 4G63T valvetrain is very robust, high lift and duration camshafts put more wear and tear on the rockers and springs. If you planned on revving past 7K RPMs on a regular basis, I would highly recommend new high performance valve springs with titanium retainers, but if you are a daily driver that only see's high RPMs ocassionally, then hi-po valve springs aren't as necessary. But why not install them while you have the camshafts out?
