if i run a 2g mas on a new intake pipe with the stock injectors will i run into any problems? i plan on 550cc injectors next and then an SAFC
 
no problems and get the stage 3 keydivers chip at http://www.dsmchips.com/

get the 550's and the 2g mas together then with the keydiver chip and there won't be a need for a the safc. i got a few friends who have zeroed out their blue screen S-AFC(useless now).
 
Contrary to what people will tell you, you CAN NOT use a 2g MAS and 550's. The curves are too different, and they will not compensate out correctly.

You need some kind of fuel correction when running this combination... a keydiver ECU will work, or a SAFC will work.

One thing to consider with the keydiver chip, is that it doesn't give you the advantage of extra timing advance that you get then you change the airflow signal.

I'd be willing to bet that Jeff could add some timing onto your fuel maps if you asked him too though.
 
well i was just wondering if i add the 2g mas and intake pipe now without the 550cc's and safc would i encounter any problems?
 
I was running a 2G MAS with 450cc @ 44 psi, it ran lean, but very drivable as long as you don't rail the boost (duh). I only drove it for a week like that, and then installed my SAFC II with GM 3 bar MAP sensor. Boosting harder than ever!
 
#1: Get 660 cc injectors. It's far too easy to max out 550s w/ these cars, and fuel injectors are expensive... You have a big 16g, 550s will be too small eventually.

#2 If you use 660cc injectors and a SAFC your timing will advance too much. Keydiver chips will account for this, plus have MANY more benefits. You need to make sure you have an EPROM ECU, if not, get one. VFAQ.com has info on how to check for an EPROM...

#3 Save your $$$ and do all this stuff at once. Don't bother w/SAFC w/ keydiver's chip. You might want to consider a MAFT instesd of a 2g MAF.
