So how do these compare to others :)
I wonder what the pricing will be and if their quality control is any better than WEB/Crower etc..
Im sure they will be exactly the same teh suck! Save the money on the initial purchase of the cams then be forced to get cam gears and all for a worse cam then the gold standard HKS nah I'll pass.

That is a blatantly arrogant statement unless you've tried Comp Cams. I don't care how fast you've ran or what kind of success you've had with HKS, to knock a product like that before it's even been tested/available is just rediculous. :thumbdown

Blah blah blah A few shops have seen them and said they are nothing speacial. I dont think you will find a nice cam for the 63 than a 272.

If you ask me $650 for a set of cams is complete BS, I think $450 is pushing it.

Then again when it comes to aftermarket performance DSM's seem to be up there with porshe's, BMW, etc.. Price wise that is.

Not even close.

Friggen DSM'ers are so damn cheap.

300 dollars a cam is too much for a set of high precision ground cams that are made for racing? Get a clue. Have you even ever looked at the price of a *real* racing (as in, a high performance roadcourse car)?

I couldnt agree more that 272's are the best...
And will probably end up being what I purchase, but I for one would like to see a little more competition for our business from companies.

You can't tell me you would like having a cam as good as the 272's being produced at a better cost for us. At least this is how things work in the computing world.

Over the past 4 years I have noticed dramatic drops in prices and more and more vendors are introducing their products for the 4g63.
Hell I remember trying to get parts for my talon long before dsmtalk was ever around.

Extreme and buschur were about all their were.

But back to these cams, how do they compare to the 272's (lift, duration wise) or are they too NEW of a product for anyone to acheive any results from.

They seem to be of very high quality, nitrade coated and all. And best of all custom grinds are available. HKS 272 twins for $450 I for one would pick up a set in a heartbeat.

My $.02 ;)

If you had some of the nicest cams in the industry would you want every kid to have a set? Or would you charge a premium and make more per set and maintain that level of quality. Its all in the Economics. If your going to put the effort forward to make a flawless product your probably not going to be happy making as much money as the guy who didnt try. Maybe thats just me though....

Price out a Gemballa 16g upgrade for a porsche and you'll understand how nicely we actually have it.

not to be a dick or anything :D

threads a little old but thought id mention that, these cams do not look like less aggressive hks cams. infact thats a dumb statement. 264 and 272 are not the real durations of the HKS cams. infact at .50 lift theyre no where near those numbers. i had numbers in a thread but talk is down. no ones really running these yet but theyre extremely close if not a longer duration than the hks cams.
