1g manifold upgrade

will a 1g intake manifold bolt right to a 2g engine? and is it worth the trouble should i port and polish it before putting it on and if any performance gain what might they be..thanks

Yea the intake manifold on the 1st gen will flow more than a 2nd gen intake. You need to have the head port matched tho for benefits. But thats a good time to have your head ported/polished mabye a new head job and then finish off with new gaskets like the valve cover gasket and finish up with some ARP hardware. Im going to get a custom valve cover when I do the job also. I got a nice cyclone intake to go on mine with the 60mm 1st gen throttle body which is much bigger than the 2nd gen 52mm TB. Im also going get rid of the throttle body coolant circulation..

Even though the 1G intake ports do not directly match up, you will still see an inprovement in top end with the 1G intake manifold on a stock 2G head. Just a 1G TB alone will make a difference.

so with i 1g intake,and throttlebody i would really see a nice gain huh
