crankwalk 90-92.5 or 90-94???

Okay so with what i have heard crankwalk doesn't happen as much on the 95 and 99 eclipse/talons. And it very rare on the 1g but some people say that its only rare on the 90-92.5 and some say it is very rare on the 90-94 1g's. Which is it? I thought the 90-94 all used the 6 bolt and not the 7 bolt. Can somebody give me a link with some solid info on this. Because i have done searches with mixed info. Also how many of you with a 1g and a 95 have got crankwalk.

actually i have heard that crank walk is on the 2g's, and since my friend has it on his 95 gst i believe it. actually the motor changed in the middle of the 1g's 90-92.5 is a six bolt and 92.5-94 were 7 bolts.

The 95-99's are the most prone to crankwalk also heard of a few claims from 92.5-94 but any engine can get it just these are more familar to it.

I have seen 6bolts built by one of the 2 largest DSM shops (won't call out names) walk just like 95+ 7bolts. Hell even EVOI-III's walked too. I've had a chevy 350 walk on me once long ago. Every engine is prone to it...it just seems like the 95+ are "over" prone to it.

Well i probably won't buy a 95 talon tsi then. To bad cuz it was a good deal 8,800 with only 66,000 on it. Maybe i'll just get a first gen. But the years that i liked were 93-94 and if they use the same 7 bolts then they are just as likley to get it then the 95 i guess.

If its at 66k and hasnt shown any signs of walking then I would say its ok. How hard would it be to take off the oil pan and check?
The 95+ are weaker because they have less nickel content if I remember right. So when the head it torqued on it kinda throws things out of balance.

Yeah i guess i can just take the oil pan off and check, but what exactly do i look for. Does anybody got any pics of what it should look like. And what it looks like with crankwalk.

hrmmmm well anyways i heard they are all around 9% except in the years of 97-98 where they are something like 15%...
