I was really fun getting off the fitting next to the fuel pump.

Got it in and got the car started. The niose seem to be really low at this time.
Will try it out tomarrow if the weather permits here.

Concidering my car is 31k miles and not rusty I though it would be a little easier.

But I was wrong.

Still got it apart .

Flare wrenches..

You need them for this job..( or you can have fun rounding off the bolts)

Well worth the purchase, and makes the job 10X's easier.

also, the positive power wire going the fuel pump will probably break on you.

This happend to my 90 talon, and my buddy's 92. We just soldered it, and it works fine.... Holds better than that shitty as fitting too...

Just something to try if you run into that snag.

Other than that that's the only thing I can thing of that gave us any trouble at all.. Whole install only took us like 45 minutes (with the flare wrenches and soldering iron).

I couldn't use flare wrenches, as my set weren't big enough.

I ended up using a regular open ended wrench, and the biggest pair of vise grips I could find. PB Blaster was used, but I don't think it helped.

Took me an hour of pulling and pushing to get a combination that worked. My mom was #@%#@%#@%#@%#@%ing at me to come inside and eat, and I said f-it, walked out of the car, on the way to the house, and got pissed.

Got a rush of adrenaline, and pulled on that little b4stard with all of my might. SNAP, it came right off. Put on my nice -AN lines, and called it a day.

True story too.

I got mine on without much trouble just took 15 min with the stupid fitting.

It's runnintg fine now.

My Walboro install was the funnest ever. Aside from the obligitory fu@k-all fitting... First one of the wires wasn't isolated from the plate. That caused all kinds of blown fuses including a link, of which I did not have a spare. Then the float was caught on the power wire. I can pretty much R&R a 1G fuel pump in ten minutes now. Almost as impressive as my 15 minute turbo R&R.

i soaked that fitting with PB blaster. let it sit for 20 minutes, and it came right off.;)

Why do it the hard way? I followed the line down under the car. It comes to another fitting that is WAY eaiser to get loose. Only thing is, you have to take some tin snips, cut the opening larger and fold it back.
