my 7 bolt is about to bite it, i was thinking of investing in a stage 3 buschur shortblock. Couldnt find a lot of ifo on these tho. is that a completely built "crate" engine, or just the built block? and would it make more sense to just find a working 6-bolt junker and rebuild?

This is the shortblock assembly that we are most known for. Complete with Buschur Racing designed forged pistons and forged connecting rods. Fully blueprinted and balanced with knife-edged crankshaft. Balance shafts are removed and ARP fasteners are used throughout for reliability under the most demanding conditions. This is our most durable shortblock offering, capable of handling upwards of 700whp! Others have tried to copy it, others have tried to duplicate it, but the engines built upon these shortblocks have put down some of the best DSM powered times ever... pass after pass. We don't like to replace engines after every race and we don't expect you to either! (CORE REQUIRED - $500)

This tells you that its just the bottom end only. Being as they said "shortblock". Longblock would include a head and everything else. If your looking to not spend as much cash as that you could find a used 6bolt and go with 95pistions and 1g big rods. 2g Head and port the hell out of it.
