blow off valves

ok i have a 1990 eclipse gsx and i have been looking all around and i cant find a good blow off valve and i was wondering if you have and good sugestions but in trying to stay away from turbo xs.

um are you crazy? all the bov's out there will work for you, you just have to weld on a diff flange.

yea if you're asking this question, any blow off valve will work. If you are going for sound get a vented HKS SSQ, and if you just want cheap and "right" get the greddy type-s routing back to the intake. its a simple choice man...all depends if you want to vent or not, and how much you're willing to spend.

And a Type-S re-routed with an open element filter is really loud still. Mine is so loud I find it annoying acctually and sometimes drive a particular way on purpose so I don't have to listen to it. I have people roll up their windows beside me because they think something is wrong with my car ...

just stick with the stock one. the first gen bovs kick ass if your runin high boost crush it. hks ssq will give you compesor surge so i wouldnt use it unless i had a ball bearing turbo other then that i like the apex i one.

I would like you to back up your claim of an HKS SSQV causing compressor surge. I have had one installed in my car (recirculated of course) for over a year and have had no problems with it.

i like the apexi one to keep things inline with my n1 exhaust, does it come bolt on or i have to get a differant flange on it to stay with the stock piping? i have a crushed blow of valve now and i closed of the dump tube and every time i pushed in the clutch it would stall whys that?

Because every time you go to vacuum, the BOV is a HUGE vacuum leak.

Use the stock BOV, and leave it recirculated.

I have the BLITZ DD and its vented and sounds dead sexy...Still trying to figure out how to use to AFC though to lean it out a lil between shifts...In my owners manual it says that it can support a vented BOV so I dunno...
