Has Anyone Heard Anything About The New Ford Sensor

was up guys just wondering if u guys know anything about the ford sensor that dsm are and will start to use. i talked to kevin at agp and he is the one who told me about this. he said all it is, is a sensor that taps into your i/c pipe about 6'' from the t/b and taps in just like a egt probe. he said it will get eliminate the stock mas.
 
kevin also said that this sensor will take over the gm mas, and make the gm mas useless sense its bulky

Use sentence structure, I have no idea what that blither of words meant. Sounds like yet another replacement for the stock MAS. Not sure if I would want something so vital to car performance in a place so prone to sensor failure.
 
wow sorry man, what i was trying to say is that, kevin at agp was telling me about this thing that dsmers are starting to use. it is a ford sensor and works just like a gm maft with out the big mas and haveing to cut the i/c pipe. i guess its just a sensor that taps into the i/c pipe like a egt probe tapes into a exhaust manifold. this is good for people who need to vent there bov. such as i have a tial and i need to vent. same reason most people go to a gm maft.


now the reason why im posting this is because i was looking for more info and what you guys though of this
 
So is it pretty much a intake air temp sensor and a translator of some sort that will take the input of the mas sensor and IAT sensor? If so, then that will be freakin awesome. I definitely want to know more about this, anybody from AGP willing to shed some light on this?
 
Hrmm, ok so it doesnt go in the exhaust. Sounds pretty cool then.
 
yes this sounds alsome and will save alot of room and most likly money, kevin said it will be the next best thing that dsmers will start to use and those who have a gm mas will switch to this. i told kevin i was going with the gm maft setup and he told me not to waste my time and do this so we will see, im going to try it out once my fmic from them comes in
 
is this thing available yet? i just installed my GM MAF in blow though setup this morning. i think it'd be awesome to be able to have something even smaller - clean up the engine bay.
 
well i dont know actually what sensor it even is call up kevin at agp and have him explain it too u all i know is it s comeing with me fmic from them LOL. this will clean up the engine bay so much and make things easier to install sense its not the big mas. i guess its almost like the crx sensors that is just a tap in sensor.


cant wait till i get it and more info comes out about it

I thought it was a thread about the new ford sensor? You started it, don't you know what it is about? Or are you having as hard of a time understanding what you were thinking as we are?

It can't be just an air temp sensor, if its replacing the MAF. It needs to either measure air mass going in(ala GM MAS), or measure the temp AND pressure so that you can calculate a new MAF signal(ala VPC). We need more info, because what you have supplied so far is either very incomplete, or incorrect. Or both.

LOL thats all i know so sorry for the lack of info.

this thread was actually for other to hear about this and or if they have more info about it to post it
 
Or just get a speed density meter and a stand-alone. No more playing around with piggy backs and jacked-up wiring harnesses.

:confused: have you even read any of this thread? He started the thread to see if anyone else has heard about a new setup that probably won't be released for another month.

Well duh, I already said before that this is most likely a cheap speed density setup. A ford IAT sensor, stock MAP sensor, and a translator. This is just what I am guessing it would be.

We are only going off a brief comment from AGP, of course it seems like we don't have alot of info on it.

ya this set up seems pretty cool i hope kevin from agp could give me more info about it. there fmic are coming with this set up so we will see how it works
 
I'm just thinking i'd like to get a DSMLink V2, AGP speed density setup (maybe?), and a TechEdge WBo2 sensor kit for tuning my car. :D
