HEllo: I am in the process of looking for a turbo upgrade and came across this turbo AGP L2R!! This thing is a beast from what the description is about it. My question is this, would a FWD GS-T handle this turbo with minimal traction problems? It is rated for I think 500hp but I won't get there , realistically looking at about 350-400hp. The turbo description from the website says this turbo will spool at @3700-3800rpm with minimal mods and 3500-3600 with full engine mods. That is too soon for a FWD? Will I be able to harness this turbo or will the trmendous quick spool of this turbo be my downfall? I have full bolt-ons with SBR stg1 Engine 6 bolt: block(wiseco pistons) head (ss valves/ 1st gen cams), I will have a full coilover suspension system (TEIN/JIC), w/Suspension Bushings. Will this turbo be a realistic option for me or not? If this turbo is not for me looking at a T3/T04E next People tell me that is the turbo upgrade for me, right amount of lag with incredible pull and unlimited HP potential. But I forgot to mention the website said the AGP L2R is the greatest turbo for DSM's looking for the total package for decent price so I am confused?? Please help looking for people who have this turbo and their experiences.

Well, the L2R does give the appearance of a great turbo, but a guy sho used to frequent this site often(LarryD) Took it on a dyno and said was was unimpressed with the output on pump gas. I see you are FWD. BB turbos are great for quick spoolup and all, however, if you don't have a LSD, it won't do you much good. If I were you, I'd seriously look into the 50-56 trim turbos from PTE. Great price (995$, ExtremePSI even throws in a kit with it) More potential, and just a better all-around turbo from what I can see. that the one I'm going with. I'm not trying to tell you not to get the L2R, just showin ya that there are others out there too.

If your going to spend that kind of money for a turbo, I would look at a FP 3052 or Forced Performance turbos. If you have the supporting mods, it seems to be one hard hitting turbo.

Or as GSntncT stated, look at one of the PTE 50 trim turbos which I think are a great value.

Rick may be on to something, the FP3052 *may* prove to be the pump gas ball bearing turbo of choice, time will tell.

AGP stopped making the LR2. FP stopped making the 3055 which used the same compressor wheel. The good news is the newer turbo technology is awsome. The bad news is, last years turbos are old. I agree with the others that a PTE 50 trim or a FP Green would be great for a FWD. The 3052 is new so no customer reviews are out yet, but I'll bet that it's a bit much for a limited traction car.

Hey thanks all for the input, I will be going with Forced Performance turbo- Green.

Why would you go green? Its more expensive than the FP3052 and it doesn't flow as well. The green is a hybrid that worked well for what it is, but I think even FP will even tell you that going to the FP3052 would be a better choice.

Yeah, but he's about to pay more for older technology when he can have the NEW Garrett cartridge design and ball bearings as well for less money. If he needs slower spool by a good boost controller. There are dual stage and three stage manual ones along with boost by rpm or gear electronic ones.

Spend your money wisely, talk to the guys at FP before being dead set on a Green.

OK now i'm CONFUSED do you really think that i can harness the power capability of the fp3052 which i think is rated for 50hp more max then the fp green, but since its baal bearing is gonna spool alot faster. Even with a LSD i dont think my car is gonna be able to productively use that much power. But i do like that whole set-up its bad ass, maybe i will but i just don't want to get good times with slicks only i want to be able to get good times with street tires also, you know. I will be mostly on street tires except for the weekends and occasional "Walking" .LOL I think i will hold off until JDM gets back with his results of his Fp3052.

Personally I think you will be ok with the 3052, especially with a good boost controller, but like I said talk to FP since they can give you more real world experience about there turbos than any of us currently can.

Also, check out the Parts Talk section of DSMTalk. There is an ongoing discussion regarding the 3052.

OMG

Well, if you can afford a 3052, I guess you MAY be able to cover a $9 fee ;)

But seriously, people wonder why no one accepts COD anymore. It's because when the package arrives, they decide at the last minute they dont want to pay

I offered Paypal up front. He declined. Guess it's hard to try and work people for extra money when they can still negotiate the price. Instead of "It's shipped, this is how much it will be. Can't be changed now". ;)

Dude dont worry about it im not paying your shipping. the total shipping charges made the total cod amount 119.58. $19.58 is nothing to me. lets see a $200 intake+ a $40 intake filter for 119.58 and you are bitching. bwhahahahahaha:laugh:

sunflashx: Dude, if your the person who bought Ananda's Buschur CAI, I really wouldnt jive at it that much. That intake brand new is like $225 w/o a filter (I believe). Hell I bought one a week before he even posted his up and I paid $150 for the same intake with a bent and been to hell filter. Regardless, it is still a good deal and Ananda wouldnt be the one to rip you off on here. He has a pretty good rep on here and is a regular.
