Upper intercooler piping

that must be the worst piping kit ive ever seen.

go get a 2.25" 90 degree bend and fix your upic. then youll be done with intercooler piping.

that is a crap looking pipe

and no, a 1g flange is not the same as a type s flange, they are completly different
a type s will bolt up to it, and possibly a greddy type r bov, nothing else
maybe you can get an adapter plate and turn it upside down, but its not worth buying that crappy pipe anyway

I think they are talking about that 90 degree bent where the intercooler goes to the pipe yeah it looks scary at first but if u ever seen the GReddy kit its the same bent. If you like it i would buy it but id rather stick to the nice bents the Dejon pipes have. But on true honesty it isnt that bad specially for the price.

ok if u REALLY think thats worse than stock piping, ur an idiot.....and like the other dude said, greddy kits have the same 90 degree bend. I think ur mad cause you paid like $400 for yours. A friend of mine has that piping and pushes 18psi at the track on a 16g and its been fine.

i made my piping for 5 dollars from homedepot and napa.

buscurracing did a dyno test on stock piping (with the bad part of the stock upic fixed) vs aftermarket metal mandrel bend piping. they found there was no difference.

i bet you my car that the stock bad part in the upic flows better than that squared 90 turn.

keep ur car...i dont want it

I'll find out shorty, when i put mine on the dyno, how much it helped.

and when u say "(with the bad part of the stock IC piping fixed)"....that is one of the biggest changes that aftermarket piping has. Thats the whole point behind getting aftermarket piping, to eliminate that bad part. So dont act like its just a little fix, and didnt have that much effect on the dyno results.

And stop being a hata :thumbdown

im not acting like anything. im stating facts. fine, dont believe buschur. i have provided you with dyno proof. i will wait for your proof.

fact: only restrictive part of stock 2g ic piping is the bend in the upic.
fact: once only that part is fixed, the piping will flow as good as full aftermarket piping.

then why did u say the aftermarket piping was WORSE than the stock piping?

Don't get that piping it is junk.

Just spend the extra $$ and get the greddy kit if your hell-bent on getting new piping.

$200 isnt bad considering it comes with the lower intercooler pipe also.
And the 90 degree elbow in the greddy kit is cast and doesnt have that sharp bend like the ebay one.

Not to mention the greddy is much higher quality, and has better fitment.

Probably cost as much to make as shipping on some pipe kits if you shop around.

I'm rolling my own FMIC pipes and doing a tech article on that.

It will be short route but with the drivers side end tank pipe crossing over above the IC. I don't like running the J pipe close to the DP like some short route systems. It will be shorter than stock location kits still and not require thin fans.

Don't buy those pipes - I bought some pipes that look similar to those and I can tell you first hand that they are not good. The ends of the pipes are not beaded so as soon as my car got around 4000 RPM then the hoses would blow off. Spend the extra 100 dollars on a greddy kit or just buy these and get the ends beaded.

But the pipes do make a big difference on performance. Good Investment.
