Does anyone that uses this website use either of these turbos. Does anyone have any input good or bad. Just thinking of getting one and want to hear some opinions.
thanks

There are a ton of threads on those turbos, but it seems like the search function is busted.

BR500 & BR580. These are nothign more than PTE turbos with different names. Made by PTE, sold to Buschur. You can get them cheaper from about any other vendor.

BR500, AKA PTE 50 trim. specs: 50trim compressor wheel, T31 turbine wheel. TO4E compressor cover, PTE custom cast turbine housing. 49lb per min airflow. 460whp potential. Full boost at 3600rpm, in some cases. Perfect all around turbo.

BR580, AKA PTE SCM61 specs: 56trim GT40 compressor wheel, T350 turbine wheel. TO4E compressor cover, PTE custom cast turbine housing. 65lb per min airflow. 600whp potential. Full boost in the 4200-4300rpm range. Streetable, but laggier.
