I currently have a FP BigT28 with 550cc injectors and a 190lph pump. I am looking into getting a 20G (either the SBR 2g20g or a TD06 20G). My question is will the 550's and he 190lph be enough for 18 lbs on 93 octane? Based on RRE injector/psi chart it will. But, I wanted some more advice.

I am presuming that I would have to get 650's, but I dont think I need to have a 255lph pump.

Thanks for any help.
Nathan

p.s. yes I have all of the other full supporting mods, so dont ask. :)

To get the most out of a 20G I would recommend 680cc injectors ( www.extremepsi.com ) and the 255 lph pump. That would cover you pretty well and could handle 20+psi.

That is what I had thought. So, I will look into getting new injectors. Hell isnt the Supra Fuel Pump a 190lph? If so, it can handle alot too.

Appreciate the help gang.

Nathan

No, supra fuel pump is not 190. It flows more than the 255 if im not mistaken. You may be thinking of the 3000gt VR-4 fuel pump that flows about 190.

The TDO6H 20G is a pretty nice turbo, the 6H wheel pulls really hard in the top end if you want a turbo that runs hard and would work pretty well with 600cc + injectors.

If it's for a 2G, i know that SBR can weld on an elbow and i'm guessing other vendors would do the same. Or you could rock a silicone elbow.

supra or 255 fuel pump, with 650fic, 660 denso, 680 ams or pte injectors. although ive heard bad things about the pte injectors i would look at these sense there perfect flow for a 20g.

yea im planning on getting a TDo6H 20G too. I was thinking maybe 16psi daily driving and maybe 20psi when im at the track. I was thinking a 190 and 660cc. According to RRE chart its a good setup :dsm:

Funny, I was just wondering about the same thing. I have a big28 killer and now I think I want to upgrade to a 20G. I want 370 whp and the killer doesn't look like it can do it.

660's, altough im sure 550's would work just fine.

Yeah I agree, people tend to over do the injector size. Larger injectors might be ok if you reduce the duty cycle.

And about the Supra pump. Yeah the Mk4 Turbo Supra's OE pump flows 260lph @43psi @12v and 290lph @ 14v. But new you're talking 200$. It is a nice pump but you will need to make some modifications to the fuel pump wiring harness. I think a 190lph or 255lph walbro would be more then enough and less hassle to install. 105$ at turbotechracing.com brand new.

Good luck,

:dsm:

Once you go to a 255hp sized pump or bigger like the supra pump, imo your going to want to get an afpr simply because your overrunning the stock fpr. I know I was able to tune my car alot better once I had the aeromotive installed. When I had the big28 and 550's with a 255hp pump, I was seeing mid to high 80's duty cycle wise @18psi on 93 octane.

I have this exact turbo and it pulls like a beast up top. Put it this way. Last track run.....

This run was also at 19psi with 93 octane. (We all know this is not the best psi setting!!!)

I put a 2.9 60' cause of the NEW clutch/flywheel/tranny setup (see profile), ran a 14.2 at 108.72 MPH.

Now that time is not great but with a soft launch off the line and then laying into it with the stock suspension, it pulls VERY hard. I just received my tokico Illumina shocks and am putting these in with my tein springs. I have a 255 LOW pressure pump with no FPR. I will get one soon, but it works for now.

On a side note, the tranny that was put in is making a noise that has got to be a chipped tooth in 2nd gear. It was making this noise at the time of the install of the "good" used AWD trannny into my GS-T.

If there are any questions, ask away!! I love this turbo. It spools quicker than I expected and hits hard as hell!!

I assume by 255hp you mean 255lph, am I right? Anyway 190lph would be more then fine. Or do you expect quicker then mid 13 second slips?

And over 80% duty cycle is 15% more then I would run in my car. I try to keep duty cycle to 70% or less.

And 14.2 running a 20g @19#? What went horribly wrong? LOL

Chipped tooth in 2nd gear on a Car that has only been on the road 2 days after being down for 5 months:(

I was skiddish about running the piss out of the car. It is hard to put into words on the internet, but I was not beating the piss out of it and I still got the high mhp. With the stock clutch setup I pulled a 112mph at 14.0 flat with a HORRIBLE 60'. I am NO track guy, I have a total of 9 runs down the 1/4.

I am sure with a better driver than I it would put some good times down. I am inexperienced at the whole launching/shifting thing at a track.OMG

Shit my first run that day was a 15.2 at 107.xx mph, that should tell you of the track skill I have and the lack of aggresive shifting I am putting on my f'd up tranny.

All in all the TDO6H 20g that I got from Slowboy is a wonderfull turbo. I have promoted it many times. And have had MANY V8 guys freak out at the topend it has displayed.

That's cool, that's cool. Nothing wrong with babying her when she gets back on the road for the first time. Just don't baby her for ever or she won't like when you slap her around once and a while :thumb:.
Good luck,
