Im looking into another way to tune my DSM i wanna go past the AFC so i wanna know any impressions you DSM link owners have out there. Good and Bad, worth it or not? Does it compare to the EMS Haltech Etc. THanks in advance i appreciate it.

DSMLink is the best thing out there. The tunability of a standalone, with the drivability and safety of the stock ECU. Oh, and datalogging that is better than anything else you can get at any price. And even a moron can use it.

For a 2G DSM owner, the DSMLink is a no-brainer.

IMHO. :D

Basically if you have a 2G and don't or can't afford a standalone, get a DSMlink. Most people I have seen move on from the AFC setup once they realize its limitations. Instead of modifying the information the ECU see's like an AFC does, the DSMlink changes the ECU itself.

Read through what it does and you'll know how powerful it really is. I consider it just as good as a standalone but much less complicated. :thumb:

I would go even further and say that 99.9% of the people out there, if they have a choice between a standalone and a DSMLink, should get the 'Link.

I love my dsmlink, one of the best 'mods' i've done. You'd be suprized how much more power you can get from the car by just tuning it w/ the dsmlink.

I guess I am that .1% then. I have a Haltech and I love it. But I do agree with everyone else that say the DSM link is Kick Ass. If a AFC is giving you a hard time then a Full Standalone unit will just beat your a$$. I am not calling you dumb or anything. But you really need to have your sh1t in one sock to be messing with a full on standalone.

I am also a very happy DSMLink owner. And LILGSX96...you are part of that .1% and I would say that that .1% is people who are really good at tuning and can get more out of the standalone then they could with DSMLink. DSMLink does so much that to do any better with a standalone you really have to know your shit. And DSMLink also is great at teaching one to tune...because it is SOOOOOO easy.

EMS and Haltech are good...but they aren't for everybody and can be a bit complicated just to get cold start working. I am very happy with DSMLink...logging everything...including knock is awesome.
