Hello EVERYBODY!

Anywayz, here goes. When i'm running my car hard say from like a stop, it will be kinda weak... almost as if the turbo weren't there (my dad owns a 93 GS N/A). Well, the thing is, if i let the car run up to 3500-4000 in any gear, let off the gas, then get back on it, it does exactly what is expected of it. Otherwise, if i just get on the throttle from a stop or a slow speed, anything where the revs go under 3k the car just feels weak, and i mean it will do this even if i'm in first gear and go from 1500-6000, but if i, say let off the gas at 3250 and get right back on it, the car races just as it should. Is it that the car isn't going to full boost?

p.s. I'm installing my boost gauge within the next week so i should be able to figure it out then if no one has any ideas. MBC and tune up before the end of next week, god i hope i don't break something.

I am noticing the same problem, if you get on it sometimes the car just won't want to go, but it sounds like its working hard. I have my boost guage installed and its making full boost...what gives? Is this some kind of loss in the drivetrain? It also does this if I am downshifting (rolling race) from say 3-2 and it hits like 4.5k rpm, if I punch the gas...nothing, if I tap the gas then give it half throttle it starts to go.

I am new to driving a turboed car...maybe its just something I have to get used to.

(it did this to me tonight while I was trying to race a RSX Type-S from a roll  )

Same thing used to happen to me. Jam on the gas, boost goes all the way up, but no acceleration. But if you let out the gas pedal and press down on it more slowly, it would really go.

No idea why. I took it to a shop and the dude there fixed it (cost me about $100) but I never bothered to ask him what it was.
