will a 6 bolt swap in a 2G pass CA smog?

Originally was going to sell my 2G for a 1G but decided maybe this is an option. One concern though... how noticeable will this swap be in terms of passing a smog check in CA? how noticeable is the CAS when mounted? seems to me that the CAS is what may set it apart from completely looking OEM. Show me the ways and I may just keep my 2G

From my experience living in CA, the difference is probably not noticeable enough to cause you to fail visual. As long as your actual emissions are OK, you should be fine. Unless you happen up on a shop that has a guy working there that is intimately familiar with the 4G63, they're probably not even going to notice.

when i was completely stock with onlya BOV i didnt pass smog, because of visual, although some Bov's are CARB legal, the hks one i had at the time is not, most parts say " for track use only " meaning they wont pass smog

An HKS blow-off valve kind of sticks out, though. Just a different CAS, I would think, would have a much better chance of blending in.

Yeh...you should pass no problem, especially if you go to hick smog place that normally only does V8s they wouldn't no shit about a 4g63. Also since it is basically the same motor...nobody is really going to be able to tell.
