Any one run a Venom intake manifold?

I have a venom intake manifold, I have to eliminate the EGR valve to install this manifold cause it bolts right over where the holes for the EGT are. my question is do I just bolt the manifold ontop of the holes where the EGR valve was and use a stock gasket and thats it? or is there more I need to do, like special gasket or plug some holes? Thanks

EGT goes in yoru exhaust manifold.. ARe you talking about an EGT maybe?

Anyway rdkrt on here uses this manifold, and he blew the welds on it, . 2fast2furious

no,not having a BOV would'nt cause that,it would damage the turbo. what it was,is he was running like 35lbs of boost,and apparently the venom intake won't handle it,also, the welds on the intake were pretty poor considering how big the company is and what they charge for it.

Lol..I was totally going to say that.

The EGR attaches to the stock manifold so if you get the venom you won't be using it at all.

I was running 32lbs of boost MAX most of its life it was running well under 30lbs. They just did a shitty weld job.

PS I also laughed when I blew the welds. Then I had to take off the intake and put it back on. That was a PITA!

Well the EGR valve bolts to the stock intake manifold. If you replace the manifold with an aftermarket one, there will be no provision for the EGR valve to bolt to and you will have to elminate it. If you are at the point where you need an aftermarket intake manifold you shouldnt have any emissions on your car anyway.

Yes I am aware that the EGR hooked to the stock manfiold, but is there are 2 holes left on the block that went to the stock manfiold that finaly ended up at the EGR. but my question is, is it ok to just bolt the venom manfold strate over these holes without welding them or getting a non stock gasket.

and yes I am at the point where I needed a non stock manifold.

Ah ok I misunderstood your question then, sorry. I am not 100% on this, but I would think it would be ok to just bolt the manifold right over the holes in the block. I have never removed my intake manifold though, I left it on when I removed my head, so I am not exactly sure to be honest.
