What compression ratio?

Stock 2G turbo compression is 8.5:1 so 8.3 is even less than that. I'd maybe even go 9:1, but 9.5 or 9.7 is a little high IMO for a turbo car. You'll have less room for error in tuning.

I will have to agree that the 8.3 ratio is fine the EVO motors run 8.8 with 19psi so you should have no problems there just keep it a little on the rich side to avoid knock.

Thanks for the input....... I couldn't find a part # for anything hight than 8.3:1 ratio. If anyone has a Weisco part # for anything higher let me know.

I am building a 93 Talon TSI AWD from a shell and 6 boxes of parts so I am takeing the oppertunity to build it up right.

New Evo 8s are 8.8:1 compression. Between 8 and 9 its your preference. I plan to run 17:1 and blow the head off the block. :)
